  3. Blue jay is 22_30cm long. They are famous for their intelligence. They migrate in groups. Melanin pigment is present in blue jay. Their crest play important role for different behaviors. When they are excited or arrogant crest will bewholly lifted. Description

  4. During afraid, crest bristles look brushlike. Itis much smaller than the robin. It is a passerine bird. Male & female look alike. But male is rarely larger than female. Description

  5. It has blue crest with black line on head that extend from head to collar neck. Its has grayish-white plumage. The color of eyes, straight bill and legs are black. Feathers have black, blue and white color, & wings are rounded. It has long tail with sky blue & black marked. Appearance

  6. Blue jay have noisy calls which are similar to the voice of Red-shouldered Hawk. They also have the ability to make a variety of sounds. They communicate together by their calls. Vocalization

  8. They are common in much of central North America, Eastern, central United States, southern Canada, northern US, Asia, and Europe. Distribution range

  10. They are found in  pine woods of Florida, woodlands with oaks and beeches, city parks and residential areas, pine woods, suburban gardens, groves, towns, and deciduous or mixed woods. Habitat

  11. Behaviors They mostly feeds on trees and shrubs and on the ground. They eat eggs, nestlings, caterpillars, grasshoppers, beetles, hard nuts or seeds, berry, corn, grain, fruit, peanuts, and small invertebrates. They also feed spiders, snails, birds, small rodents, frogs,and baby birds. Feeding

  14. They build an Open cup of twigs, grass, and mud, covered with rootlets and other fine materials. Both parents provide food after hatching. The incubation period is 8_12 days. After hatching young birds leave nest in 21days. Breeding
