  1. Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD) - Causes and Treatment Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD) is a common condition in which a woman’s hormones (estrogen and progesterone) are out of balance. It is also known as Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and it is affecting 5% to 10% of women in the age group 12–45 years. Polycystic ovarian disease and treatment- This condition may make it difficult for woman to conceive and can cause problems with the menstrual cycle.If it is not treated at the time, it can lead to insulin resistant diabetes, obesity and heart disease due to high cholesterol level.
