  1. Questions you must ask before you can write a killer sales letter Brought to you by: www.procopywritingtactics.com

  2. The more prepared you are, the better and quicker you can write and create a killer sales letter.

  3. In order to effectively reach your target audience, you need to answer the 5w’s of journalism - Who What Where When Why

  4. And you need to do so in a way that engages your prospect and entices him to take some sort of action now. THE WHO QUESTIONS: Who is advertising the product?Who is your target market?Who is your end user? It it a consumer or another business?Who are the people most likely to buy this product or use this service first?Who are most likely to get others to try the new product or service?

  5. THE WHAT QUESTIONS What are you advertising? (Is it a product/service/cause)What is the name? What are the features and benefits associated with the product? What need and/or desire do you need in order to create/sell the product? What makes this product unique or different from the competition? What action do you want the target market to take after reading your ad?What incentive are you offering to tempt the target market to take action? What guarantee does the product/service come with?

  6. THE HOW QUESTIONS How does the product or service fulfill the wants/needs and desires of the target market? How does the target market purchase the product? (Do they have to visit a retail store, can they order online or is it a mail order product?)How do you want your prospect to feel after reading your ad?

  7. THE WHEN QUESTIONS When does the quick action bonus expire? (assuming that you have one)I’m sure that by now you have a few questions of your own, the least of which is “Why do I need to answer so many questions?”

  8. And my answer to that would be that you need to clarify what your goals and objectives are before you begin writing. This will help you create a much more effective advertising campaign that is more likely to get you the desired response compared to just writing down the first thing that comes to mind.
