SBE Training Center The Shasta Builders’ Exchange Training Center, a non-profit corporation, was created by the construction industry for the advancement of the existing workforce through continuous education, training, and safety programs and as a means to increase awareness of the career opportunities within the construction industry.   5. SBETC Craft Training Program Format(s) • In-Class or On-Line • 9 month traditional school calendar • 16 weeks in a semester • 2 semesters per year • 80 hours per semester / 160 hours per year

  6. SBETC Craft Training Program Format(s) Continued… • In-Class • Meets once a week for 5 hours a night • Standard lecture / lab class • On-Line • Meets once every 2-3 weeks for 5 hours • Self study on-line then meets to review, test and do lab work.

  8. SBETC Craft Training • Completed enrollment application • High school diploma; GED or proof of enrollment (Some students still in High School) • Drug Free • $600 Training Fee / Semester (Payment plan & Scholarship options.) Enrollment Requirements

  9. SBETC Craft Training • Cumulative total allowed to miss per semester = 5 hours • Maximum allowed to make-up = 5 hours • All make-ups must be completed within 2 weeks of the class missed. • Make-ups will be coordinated by the Education Services Administrator Attendance Policy

SBETC Craft Training Payment Plan • $200 Down Payment to enroll • $145 / month for 3 months once classes begin SBE Scholarship • Eligibility • Successful completion of at least one semester • Enrolled for class • Actively seeking employment or currently working with SBE Member contractor • Award (Up to maximum dollar amount per class) • $400 – A • $300 – B • $200 – C
