  1. Italian Mesozoic Carbonate Oil Fields: CORE EXIBITION The main Italian Carbonate Fields are illustrated through a selection of cores, representative of the Reservoir Rock and, in some cases, of the Source Rock as well TRECATE-VILLAFORTUNA FIELDS Each reservoir deals with Various Reservoir Typology and represents different Italian petroleum system GARGANO OUTCROPS & AQUILA FIELD S.MARIA FIELD & CAMPANIA OUTCROPS Being the surface geology an important key for the knowledge of the subsurface, each hydrocarbon play is supported by a description of the outcropping analogue successions MONTE ALPI FIELDS & MURGE OUTCROUP The sedimentological studies as the high resolution stratigraphy on outcrop coring represents a tool to better understand the subsurface successions GELA-IRMINIO FIELDS EAGE Florence 2002

  2. Italian Mesozoic Carbonate Oil Fields: CORE EXIBITION TRIASSIC DOLOMITIC RESERVOIRS TRECATE-VILLAFORTUNA (Northern Italy)& GELA-IRMINIO (Sicily) Oil Fields produce from porous and fractured dolostones Highly efficient petroleum system formed by a widespread and thick carbonate platforms (middle-upper Triassic reservoir) and anoxic intra-platform basins (Raethian-Hettangian source rocks) Main menu EAGE Florence 2002

  3. Italian Mesozoic Carbonate Oil Fields: CORE EXIBITION CRETACEOUS RESERVOIRS IN RAMP FACIES AQUILA OIL FIELD (off-shore Adriatic) produces from cretaceous coarse grained carbonate debris characterized by high primary intergranular porosity The sedimentological model, aimed to predict the areal distribution of the coarse grained, porous facies, has been constructed comparing the well data to the analogues successions cropping out in the GARGANO zone (Puglia) Main menu EAGE Florence 2002

  4. Italian Mesozoic Carbonate Oil Fields: CORE EXIBITION FRACTURE CHARACTERIZATION IN CARBONATE RESERVOIRS The VAL D’AGRI (Basilicata) oil fields produce from fractured cretaceous carbonate platform succession. Thefracturation study is performed on the well cores and images log, in order to better understand the fracture trends. Cretaceous analogue successions are largely exposed in Murge area (Puglia) where they have been studied to construct a geological model for the subsurface Main menu EAGE Florence 2002

  5. Italian Mesozoic Carbonate Oil Fields: CORE EXIBITION HIGH-RESOLUTION STRATIGRAPHY it is a tool to characterize carbonate platform reservoir: it has been applied on the cretaceous succession drilled in SANTA MARIA oil field (Abruzzo Region) and at Campania outcrops Main menu EAGE Florence 2002
