  2. Scanning directly into PowerPoint Connect your scanner (USB types are best) click Insert…Picture…From Scanner or Camera

  3. Scanning directly into PowerPoint In the Insert picture box Select the correct device Select the image resolution Choose “Custom Insert”

  4. Scanning directly into PowerPoint • To see all settings, select “Adjust the quality of the scanned picture” Scanning Options Choose Color or BW (Grayscale) Set Resolution in terms of DPI (dot per inch) Preview and set the area to scan

  7. Click on the image to select it • Always use the corner handles to proportionately resize an image • If you un-proportionately resize an image it will look fat or skinny Resizing pictures • Use the picture toolbar “reset” button to restore the image to it’s original proportions

  8. Basic Picture Editing • The picture toolbar can also be used to: • Make a color image B/W, turn it into a watermark • Change the Brightness or Contrast of an image • Crop an image • Rotate image • Add a border to an image • Compress the image size

  9. Change the order of pictures, text or any objects using the “Order” menu • In the lower-left corner of PowerPoint, click on ‘Draw’…then ’Order’…then how you want the selected object layered in relation to all other objects Basic Picture Editing
