  • Group competition:

Discuss the reasons why many kinds

of wild animals are in danger?

  • People want them for pets.

  • People have moved into their natural habitat.

  • They are killed by pollution.

  • They are killed for body parts or food.

For example:

A: Have you ever read or heard of the Tibetan antelopes?

B: Of course. They live in the Tibetan plateau, whose wool is worth a lot of money.

A: How much do you know about it?

B: Nowadays they are in the danger of extinction……….

First of all, let’s enjoy a short piece of the film 《可可西里》.It’s about Tibetan antelope being killed by some illegal hunters.

(After the film)

T: “So many antelopes have been cruelly killed by the hunters. What do you think of these illegal hunters? Is there anyone fighting against them?

T: Do you want to know more about the antelopes? What situation is the antelope in nowadays? Let’s have a skimming of the passage.
