  1. What are the Network Cable Connectors Types and Specifications? Network cabling plays a crucial role in the communication system of an organisation. There are several types of network cables. Each type of network cable uses specific type of connectors to connect to another network cable or network interface card. The connectors are used to join two network cables or to connect a network cable to a NIC. Commonly used Network Cable Connector Types and Specifications: Terminator connectors: If another device is connected to the other end of the cable, the device will receive the signal. But if the other end of the cable is open, the signals will bounce and return in the same direction they came from. A terminator connector is used to terminate the endpoint of a coaxial cable. Barrel Connectors: Barrel connectors are used to join two cables. They allow to extend the length of the cable and the length of the cable must not exceed the maximum supporting length of the cable. F Connectors: F connectors are used to attach a coaxial cable to a device. They are generally used to install home appliances like TV, cable internet, CCTV camera etc. T type connectors: A T connector creates a connection point on the coaxial cable that is used to connect a device to the cable.

  2. RJ-11 connectors: These are 4-pin connectors used for telephone connections. RJ-45 connectors: These are 8-pin connectors used for computer networks. DB-9 connectors: It is a 9-pin connector used to connect a device over a serial port. SC connectors: It connects to a terminating device by pushing the connector into the terminating device.
