  1. ALL THE KEYNOTES FROM APPLE’S WWDC 2020 Last week we witnessed the worlds most awaited tech event of the year, Apple’s WWDC 2020. Mobile App Development Companies , App Developers and tech companies across the world eagerly wait for this event to see the new revolutionary things introduced by Apple. This year event was ‘no in-person event and was streamed online’ whereby Apple showcased a bunch of new features it is introducing across its products, iOS, WatchOS, macOS, and maybe we’ll some hardware as well. Some key highlights of the event were: iOS 14 Apple released some really cool features with its new iOS 14, these features are: ➢App Library Making it very easy to automatically organize the similar apps together so that you can locate them easily whenever needed. ➢New Screen Widgets The new iOS App Development comes with widgets in different sizes and colours. By long pressing these widgets, you can place them anywhere into your screen. Some commonly used widgets are Weather,Podcast, Health & Fitness, etc. which now provide more data to the users. ➢Translator

  2. Apple has come up with multilingual translations app which can do the conversion in 11 international languages as you speak. The landscape mode gives a split view in languages so that it’s effective in terms of accessibility ➢Picture-in-Picture This feature helps you to do multi-tasking conveniently without impacting your on-going video. You continue to watch the video while you are on another app or on home screen; video will continue to play in the minimized window and can be resumed to full- screen upon selecting the relevant option. ➢Apple Maps Apple has upgraded its Maps to capture more detailed information with additional privacy like routes for cycling, and EV charging stations. ➢Apple Clips This is something really very cool and much needed, indeed. Instead of downloading the actual app, users can quickly access the apps specific features. This is faster and based on demand the user can open App Clips (if available) and do transitions using Apple Pay. However, it will also suggest downloading the respective app from the App Store to have full functionality. ➢Updated Siri and Handling Incoming calls Now when you speak to Siri or have an incoming call, it’ll not block the entire screen, it will just be a quick notification and the user can select the actions from it - without getting distracted with the on-going work.

  3. iPadOS 14 ➢Features introduced in iOS 14 iPadOS 14 will also have same features of Home Screen, Widgets, Maps, Music App, Translator, etc ➢Scribble This cool feature automatically converts the text you wrote on the screen to plain text. It will also auto draw the shapes and suggest words which are matching the text. ➢Search The latest compact search option will open the search text box anywhere on the screen and will do a required search for the user. ➢Sidebar Navigation Applicable to a variety of apps on iPads which will add more options to the user to select and navigate between the screens, folders, pictures, music, etc. watchOS 7 ➢Sleep Tracking Apple watch will be able to track your sleeping activities and will show various data set by which you can analyse your sleep patterns, number of hours, DND mode, etc. ➢Watch Faces And Complications Apple Watch faces are most widely used which gives a glance for necessary data on the main screen. This year Apple has added more complication families and support for iOS App Developers to integrate with different third-party apps. Those are easy to choose and you can download or share from available options. ➢Fitness Apple watch now tracks your health and fitness more precisely around workouts. Dance mode is added to analyse your movement using watch sensors tracking your calories, heart rate, etc. ➢Track Hand wash

  4. Accelerometer and Gyroscope sensors are being used to detect the hand wash movement and Apple Watch will show you timer until you wash your hand - it will pause/start based on your hand movement. macOS Big Sur ➢Control and Notification Centre Apple has grouped important settings at one place so the user can easily manage the notifications and enable/disable settings. ➢Messages and Emojis MacOS has come-up with some new cool set of Emojis which also includes an Emoji for facemask. It will work on Mac Catalyst technology providing new tools for App Developers to integrate keyboard, date-pickers, controls, and much more. ➢Safari Privacy has always been an important factor and most trustable factor in Apple products. This year’s macOS major update was on Safari and its privacy parameters. Now the user can choose when and what data to share and time limit to that. Apple also claimed that most visited websites render faster like 50% as compared to Google chrome.

  5. ➢New Dock UI A new cool and vibrant look at dock to see all applications, switching between the window and more lively colour temperature. Apple Silicon ➢Big and Bold Move Apple announced its own Silicon hardware computing fast transactions and making most of its eco-system through different Apple devices. ➢Rosetta 2 Just with minimal changes, this is going to convert the existing Intel Apps to run on Apple Silicon. With new hardware, apps will work more seamlessly with improved performance, claims Apple. Apple also showcased Microsoft/Adobe apps like (Word/Excel), Photoshop to use this high-speed processor, and minimize the computing time. ➢Virtualization It will enable users to have Linux or other platform OS running on Apple Mac.
