  3. Dual Enrollment Criteria 20 English 18 Math Move on When Ready 480 Reading 440 Math GPA 3.25 OR Minimum 970 combined SAT Minimum 20 composite ACT

  4. Dual Enrollment Checklist • Speak with your Guidance Counselor • Complete UNG Paper Application (NO application fee) • Submit Official Transcript • Submit Official ACT/SAT Scores • Verification of Lawful Presence • MOWR Student Participation Agreement form

  5. Dual Enrollment Criteria for Unaccredited Home School Students OR Home School students must submit either a home school summary form or satisfactory SAT II Subject exam results SAT 1120 combined 480 Reading 440 Math ACT 24 composite 20 English 18 Math GPA 3.25

What does it cost to participate?? • MOWR Pays for: • Tuition (up to 15 credit hours per semester) • Mandatory fees • Required Books • What YOU Pay for: • Course- specific fees and supplies, i.e. lab fees (typically around $40 for Natural Science Lab) • Room and board IF you live on campus at Dahlonega • Meal plan • Courses student takes that are not on course list

Benefits of MOWR • Does not count against 127 HOPE or Zell Miller credit hours cap • Tuition covered up to 15 hours • Can live on campus (Dahlonega) • Jump start on college • Fully-immersed in college life, while still having opportunity to enjoy high school activities • Priority registration • Courses apply to high school and college credit

WHY Dual Enrollment ? • You Finish College Earlier • Earn college credit while in high school (ability to earn up to an Associate)! • Start your job search earlier or enter a graduate program earlier! • You Save Money • MOWR college courses are paid for which saves you money later! • Why not get 1-2 years of college paid for! • Once you’ve been accepted into MOWR, no need to re-apply!

  10. Deadlines • Submit Application and Supporting Documents by: • Fall preferred - May 1 • Final - July 1 • Summer - April 1 • Spring - November 1

Language Programs for MOWR • Federal Service Language Programs: • Study abroad in France & Germany • Must be accepted to MOWR • Earn up to 4 credits • High school credit • Summer Language Institute (SLI) • Enroll in SLI and take Arabic, • Chinese, Korean, and Russian • Courses taken during 2nd short • Session of summer school • 1001, 1002, & some lab credit • For 8 hours of credit at UNG • Apply for Summer 2016! • Check out the FSLA webpage for more information!

Frequently Asked Questions • Q: Where will the college course credit I earn transfer?A:  To most four-year colleges and universities. • Q: What courses are available for me to take?A: Any courses to which UNG students have access, and for which you meet the course prerequisites. Please note that MOWR will only pay for courses from the approved course list. • Q: After I graduate from high school, how do I become a student at UNG?A: You simply inform the admissions office that you want to continue as a Nighthawk after you graduate high school. • Q: How do I schedule my classes?A: You work with your high school guidance counselor and your UNG dual enrollment advisor • Q: How many courses can I take?A: MOWR will pay for up to 15 credit hours. Otherwise, no limit. • Q: Do my dual enrollment courses count against my HOPE scholarship cap after I graduate from high school?A: No. The courses you take while dual enrolled will not reduce your cap. • Q: Can I dual enroll in the MOWR program at more than one college/university simultaneously?A: Yes. You must apply for admission to each institution and submit a separate MOWR Participation Agreement for each institution.
