Well for a start we can all go Trick and Treating for candies :). Just kidding, Halloween just finished, with most of us filled up on candies. They were free, everywhere, and at some point overwhelming. It sounds like holidays, doesn’t it ? Well, treats are a big business specially around the holiday, companies try to be more creative with variation, offering, and what they always try to make it sounds like a good holiday deal. This being said most of us don’t really score good deals on candies, chocolate, and cookies. Now there are couple of great times on the year were you can get chocolate, candies, and other sweets on a discount as low as 90% and up. You simply need to be flexible about the date of the year.
After Halloween : Not because the witch has left but because Halloween is the biggest day for the candy industry, they overwhelming advertising candies, sweets and hot deals targeting that day of the year. One of the strategy for them is to offer Halloween special flavor to give you the feel you must have that special edition, because of how far they go with customizing it, once Halloween is over, there are a lot of those candies left on shelf, for retailers, those shelves worth a lot of money, the manufacture can either get them back and spend a fortunate or just offer high discount, after all they made their money, and selling same on major discount is not going to effect those companies bottom lines. The week after Halloween, every halloween themes candy goes on sale, near the end of the week it gets better, retailers like Target, WalMart, Mejior , and CVS has major sales going on, Target is by far my favorite followed by WalMart. Don’t rush into it, there are a lot of candies to go around, wait 5 – 7 days, and you can get those candies for as low as 70 – 80 % off.
After Thanksgiving : Those all of those Pumpkin flavored sweets are out there and the retailers are stuck with them, they can’t be passed as Christmas candy for the most part, now they gotta go fast. For that reason retailers would be more eager than ever to get rid of them, remember Christmas is the second biggest season for those manufactures and those shelves worth their weight in gold. Now, the discount go as far as 95%, and it is on the day after Thanksgiving, consider it black friday for sweets 😉 and it goes until all of those Halloween and Thanksgiving themed sweets are off. I bought the cheapest candies ever after Thanksgiving.
The day After Christmas : Those Santa done dropping the gifts, but he didn’t finish eating the cookies, if you hit the days after Christmas and prior to the new year, sweets are on 85%+ discount. It is Christmas alright and you in for a party. All of these tasty Christmasy candies are out there, and they are on sales. Each store I mentioned above has major discounts, so don’t be shy to go gag shopping over candies.
The day after Valentine : So, valentine is full of Love, Flowers, and Candies, well the day after valentine is full of love, and candies only. This is probably the last day were you can score big on candies until next year holiday, so go get all of those love themed sweets and enjoy the love until next year, were you can go back and load on Candies 🙂
