  1. Where life interacts with infrastructure. Nu Flow South Africa Completes Another Project for Lavish Resort Nu Flow South Africa has completed another job for one of the country’s most lavish resorts. This beautiful hotel and casino has been utilizing Nu Flow’s in-situ pipe lining solutions outside of the building for its extravagant water park. Nu Flow’s non-destructive and non-invasive technologies rehabilitate underground pipes without having to destroy any of the expensive and decorated landscaping, hardscape or pool features. This resort sees the great value in Nu Flow’s pipe lining solutions and is a repeat customer for our international partner in South Africa. Project: Use Nu Drain to rehabilitate an underground pipe line without causing any destruction to the recreational area. Site: The Lazy River inside Sun City’s world-class water park, Valley of the Waves. Sun City is a luxury casino and resort in the North West Province of South Africa. System: Ten meters (33 feet) of 150mm (6”) diameter steel and PVC piping for the Lazy River. The pipes are located beneath 1.5 meters of concrete and stone. Problem: The pipes were leaking at the joints in two of the bends. The customer did not want a traditional repipe because it would cause damage to the river bed, river wall and surrounding stonework. Solution: First, the failing pipes were cleaned using Nu Flow’s unique Micro Cutter. Then, using existing access points, the patented Nu Drain process was used to line the pipes, including the two 90 degree bends and one 45 degree bend. This protective structural liner will prevent leaks and other future failures. This project was completed in less than a day, compared to the several weeks of work (which would cause downtime for the Lazy River) that a traditional repipe would have caused. Destruction was prevented to the Lazy River’s beautiful stonework river walls and surrounding area.
