  1. Role of pharmacists in public health management

  2. . The pharmacist has adequate and extensive roles and responsibilities in public health care. The study is not only about prescribing medication, but also about a deeper understanding of a person’s health. A pharmacist can perform different types of community health services depending on his or her training, work experience, skills, etc. Best colleges in kerala form highly trained chemists with a deep passion for serving the people. Proper management of health systems is therefore important to ensure the delivery of essential health services to all, whenever needed.

  3. . Here are some of the important roles that pharmacists play in public health care: Health services ❖ ❖ Pharmacists have a responsibility to provide effective, safe, and quality medicines and services for optimal health outcomes. Skills in their training and up-to-date information, therefore, are the backbone of a pharmacist in combining knowledge and advice with their patients. Health workers ❖ ❖ Effective pharmacists respond to patient needs and preferences. In view of the paradigm shift from product-focused service to patient-centered pharmacy, patient-centered and dignified behavior are essential.

  4. . Health information ❖ ❖ With reliable and timely health information, pharmacists support the development of a public health system and collectively reduce the risk of public health threats. ❖ ❖ Medical products, vaccines, and technologies With an ever-expanding range of new and similar medical products, policies, and technologies, the complexity of pharmacy operations continues to grow. The activities of pharmacists are not limited to medical products, but also include vaccines and medical equipment, especially those that require specialized knowledge about use and risks. Therefore, pharmacists have a responsibility to ensure the effectiveness, integrity, and safety of medical products, tools, and vaccines to protect patient health.

  5. . Funding for health ❖ ❖ In an effort to protect people at risk from financial hardship, pharmacists ensure the provision of affordable health care through the rational use of modern medical products and technologies. Numerous published studies have shown the pharmacist's ability to significantly increase health care savings in all different settings, claiming that such an effect is due to the pharmacist's expertise in reducing and preventing drug-related problems and providing cheaper alternatives or insurance coverage.

  6. . Leadership and governance ❖ ❖ Pharmacists participate in the development of public health policy; linking the spread of disease and drug use, pharmacists allow the development of effective health policies, and allow disease prevention to be embedded within the larger context. In addition, pharmacists contribute to emergencies in terms of designing response systems and agreements, and contribute to the integration of resources through the full use and distribution of medicines.

  7. . Programs to develop pharmacist skills in the health system should be in place to strengthen practice. That being said, it is also important that pharmacists regularly review and re-evaluate themselves in primary health care in order to improve patient health access and improve the efficiency of health care delivery. Therefore, pharmacists should maintain their technical ability at all times to ensure accountability and efficiency. Pharmacy college in Kannur offers extensive education and training so that students can manage any situation in the world of work. Theoretical knowledge combined with practical knowledge shapes any graduate to be a good pharmacist working for public health.
