After You Leave The Accident Scene At The Accident Scene PLEASE TAKE PHOTOS OF ALL VEHICLES INVOLVED IN THE ACCIDENT > Stay safe from traf�ic, �ire, debris, and other risks > Report your accident to your insurance company or agent. Do not provide a recorded statement to any insurance company without �irst consulting an attorney > Remain calm, if possible. Check for injuries > Rear > Driver’s side > Call 911 (even if it does not appear to be a serious accident) and ask for an ambulance > All four corners > Passenger’s side > Call or consult an attorney (bring as much documentation as possible about your accident or your injuries) > License plates > Front > If you are safe, use this guide to obtain driver’s information: > If necessary, obtain a rental vehicle and �ind a repair shop to take your damage vehicle to > Name > Vehicle insurance company name & policy number (Please make sure the insurance information matches the vehicle invloved in the accident.) > Address IF POSSIBLE, YOU SHOULD ALSO TAKE PHOTOS OF THE FOLLOWING: > Driver’s license number > Do not have your car repaired or replaced until you have photos of the damage > Make and model of vehicle > Vehicle registration number > Any nearby damaged property > Street signs, traffic controls, crosswalks > Do not throw away or lose evidence that may help document your accident and injuries > Conditions (weather, traffic and/or road) > Skid marks or brake marks > Landmarks (street signs or address markers) > Scattered debris THESPENCER L A W F I R M > Get names, addresses, & phone numbers of all witnesses before they leave the scene > If necessary, call a towing company to remove your car > Discuss the car accident only with the police > If you are injured or hurt, seek medical treatment.
