Seetarama Jananam, a mythological movie directed by Ghantasala Balaramayya under his home production and the film introduced Akkineni Nageshwara rao to the film industry in 1944. Patala Bhairavi movie was the first South Indain film released in 1951. The films like Malliswari, Patala Bhairavi, Mayabazar, Devadasu, Narthanasala, Maa bhoomi, Maro charithra, Sagara sangamam, Shakarabharanam, Siva movies are listed among the 100 greatest Indian films of all time. Bommarillu was released world wide in 2006 with 72 prints and after getting success, the number of reels increased to 100. The movie collected 5 crore collections in the first week in India. The film Pokiri was released in 2006 got 2 years of commercial success and has been remade in Tamil, Hindi and Kannada. The socio fantasy film Magadheera was release in the year 2009 and got worldwide share of 78.1 crore. The films like Dookudu, Eaga have each earn collections more than 100 crore at World wide Box office. Recently the Film Bahubali- The beginning became the third Highest Grossing Indian film of all time within India and also globally. The Telugu film industry has produced the largest number of films that beats even Bollywood in the years of 2005, 2006, 2008, 2014 and holds Guinness world record for largest film production in the world. About 245 Telugu films, the highest in India were produced in the year 2006.
