  3. Industry • Mica mining in Sri Lanka dates back to ancient times • It was carried out small scale mining near to Badulla district • It was faced some challenges over the years • Mica deposits in Sri Lanka are known to have high-grade mica

  4. Mining methods • In Sri Lanka, mica mining is typically carried out using a combination of manual and mechanized methods • Mining has been carried by shaft sinking and tunneling.
