The college was started during the academic year 1996-97 to emphasize the course of Indian traditional medicine. The institution provides a range of basic study facilities including well equipped laboratories, library, well trained staff and herbarium. Students coming from far off places can benefit by staying at the institution hostel. The ayurvedic medical college has a sound infrastructure and is a fully equipped 120-bedded hospital. Young, vibrant and specialized doctors deliver the best care and treatment to patients. The pharmacy is operational with all kinds of medicines and equipments. In fact, most medicines are prepared on a daily basis so as to ensure purity, efficacy and quality. The hospital has exclusive units including: Panchakarma Unit, Ksharasutra unit, Leech application unit, Major and minor operation theaters, X-ray facility, Well-equipped laboratory, and Fully-equipped maternity wing

  3. Course B.A.M.S (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery) The institution provides B.A.M.S. degree of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Services, Bangalore. It is approved by the Central Council of Indian Medicine, Government of India.

Eligibility B.A.M.S (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery) • An applicant should have passed Pre-University exam with English as one of the languages and biology, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects with a minimum of 50% marks (aggregate of the subjects Biology, Physics and Chemistry) • Applicants who have passed B.Sc. (CBZ) with an additional Physics paper and secured at least 50% marks in the aggregate are also eligible for admission. • For SC/ST (Karnataka Category), the minimum percentage of marks required for admission is 40%. • The applicant must have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31 of the year of admission • The applicant must be medically fit.
