  7. Important Information about our trip • Scuba trip to Thailand on a dive boat out of Phuket into the Andaman Sea. It is a dive boat NOT A CRUISE SHIP!!! • Do you have trouble with motion sickness, seasickness, or ear infections? • Can you swim and pass the Mandatory swim test? • Do you have any medications or medical conditions that would pose a risk to you or the group? Nearest hospital is a long ways a way… We are at sea! • Do you have severe food or dietary concerns? Menu is set! Simple requests like vegetarian or kosher or no red meat is OK but it is not ala-cart • Smoking, Alcohol and Drugs are not allowed in school as well as the trip. These 3 things specifically cause major problems on a dive live aboard and will not be tolerated. Bags and luggage will be searched prior to leaving Hong Kong. This is such a serious offense and safety issue… Any infractions will result in an immediate trip home at the parents’ expense! • Mandatory lecture and pool sessions in January and Feb prior to the trip. Beginners 5 pools 5 lectures Advance 1 to 2 lectures 1 to 3 pools • Mask Fins & Snorkel are required prior to first session! Costs about 800 HKD • Be prepared to have fun, learn about the underwater world, and develop a respect for the ocean!
