  2. How Child Care Training Providers Can Guide Children’s Behavior Kids need adults to teach, support and guide them as they grow and learn. Parents are primary caregivers of children. But in the world that we live in right now, most parents do not have a lot of time to spend with their children because of busy work and business schedules. This is where child care training providers step in. They play a very important role in guiding kids’ behavior in age-appropriate, supportive as well as positive ways. The appropriate ways to guide children’s growth and behavior are different at different stages depending on the developmental needs and abilities of the kids.

  3. How Child Care Training Providers Can Guide Children’s Behavior If you have a two-year old for instance, the child care training providers need to understand that they have limited understanding and require a lot of redirection. However, if you have a five-year old, it will be easier for the caregiver to deal with them because they can learn to be good problem solvers. Child’s personality also determines the kind of attention and guidance that a childcare training provider will need to show them. There are some strategies that may work well for one child but fail to work on another child of the same age.

  4. How Child Care Training Providers Can Guide Children’s Behavior In order to have an easy time guiding children behavior, there are various things that child care training providers can do. The first thing is keeping rules simple and very easy to understand. You should encourage your caregiver to discuss rules with your children and write them down. During the discussion, the caregiver should consider the kids’ suggestions for the rules. For the rules to work, they should be repeated often. Some of the rules that work well with kids include helping each other, saying please and thank you, taking care of their toys, and being kind to each other.

  5. How Child Care Training Providers Can Guide Children’s Behavior Another thing that child care training providers can do in order to guide children’s behavior is to encourage them to say what they mean. Whenever possible, the kids should use the words “do” instead of “don’t”. The caregivers should choose their words carefully especially when they are guiding children’s behavior. They should keep their sentences short and simple and focus on what to do instead of what not to do. For instance, saying “slow down and walk” instead of “stop running” or “use a quiet voice” instead of “stop shouting” is the appropriate way to teach kids what to do.

  6. How Child Care Training Providers Can Guide Children’s Behavior Child care training providers can also have an easy time dealing with kids if they learn how to talk with the kids instead of talking at them. Kids do not pay attention when you are talking at them. For guidance to be effective, the caregivers should be able to talk to kids at their level. Whenever they something to say to them, they should look them in the eyes, touch them on the shoulders and talk with them. After talking to the children, the caregivers should give them time to respond and listen genuinely to what they are saying.
