Approximately 40 miles of multiuse trails wind up cross spring-fed streams, grassy valleys, and climb heavy limestone hills. Hikers, horseback rider and mountain bikers can relish researching the trails. There is also a lodge available for them. Fishing and swimming are purely depends upon the water levels. The conditions of fire danger can change quickly and a burn ban can be acted out with little advanced notice. Please contact for current conditions before you reach there. <br>Special Notes:<br>Trails and back country campsites completely depends upon the conditions of weather. You should contact the natural area prior to arrival for current information. Campfires allowed in fire rings only, except during burn bans. As with all Texas State Parks, pets are allowed. Being a primitive park, back to nature, we say "If you need it and we don't have it, so you'll need to bring it!"<br>Activities:<br>Recreational activity centers around 40 miles of designated, multiuse trails. The wonderful place offers a back country setting for activities such as backpacking, equestrian camping, hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, primitive camping, and nature viewing.<br>Equestrian Use:<br>The terrain ranges from flat, broad, creek bottoms to steep, rocky canyons up to 2,000 feet in elevation. Hitching posts are offered, and parking is permitted around the perimeter of the assigned equestrian area. <br>We provide all the details regarding group camp that has a capacity for a large number of people. There is water for horses, fire rings, picnic tables, and a vault toilet nearby. Prior reservations are required when you are planning for a trip to the place.<br>If you don’t own a horse, then let one of our commercial guides give you a tour of the natural area on horseback. We can help you explore the Hill country state natural area or try a new activity. Our services include hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, and hay rides. <br>The park also offers a variety of educational opportunities.
