  3. JARDIANCE (EMPAGLIFLOZIN) Jardiance is used together with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

  4. What is Jardiance (Empagliflozin) ? Empagliflozin, sold under the brand name Jardiance among others, is a medication used together with diet and exercise to treat type 2 diabetes. It is less preferred than metformin and sulfonylureas. It may be used together with other medications such as metformin or insulin. It is not recommended for type 1 diabetes. It is taken by mouth.

  5. What are the indications and usage ? JARDIANCE is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Limitation of Use: JARDIANCE is not recommended for patients with type 1 diabetes or for the treatment of diabetic ketoacidosis.
