  3. Beti Bachao BetiPadhao • Beti Bachao Beti Padhao is a Central Government Scheme launch by P.M. Narendra Modiintheyearof2015.Theschemelaunchedwiththeinitialcharityof₹100crores. • Aim of theinitiative: • Prevention from genderdiscrimination • Protection of girlchild • Giving education to the girlchild

Sukanya SamriddhiYojana SukanyaSamriddhiYojanaisagoodinvestmentplanforgirlchildrenbelowtheageof10 yearstosaveforhighereducationormarriage.Itisthemostpopularschemebackedby the Government of India. It is the part of ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ Scheme. Under this scheme,thegirlchildistheprimaryaccountholder,andparentsareajointholderofthe account. After the age of 18 years, they can withdraw up to 50 % of the amount for highereducation. Benefits: Itpaysaquarterlyinterestforeachfinancialyear. Itoffersthehighestinterestratewhencomparedtotheothersavingschemes. Itcomeswiththelock-inperiod.Duringthisperiod,withdrawncannotbedone

  5. Balika SamriddhiYojana TheBalikaSamriddhiYojanaisascholarshipprogramthataimstoprovidefinancialhelp to the girl child and their mother, who are below the poverty line. The main objective of the scheme is to improve their status in society and improve the admission of girl children inschools. Benefits: Thisschemeisforbothurbanaswellasruralareas. Themotherofagirlchildreceives₹500afterthebirthofthenewbornbaby. Thegirlchildwillgettheannualscholarshipfrom₹300to₹1000tillthe10th standard.

CBSE UdaanScheme The Central Board of Secondary Education regulates the CBSE Udaan scheme for girl childbytheMinistryofHumanResourceofDevelopment.Theprogramaimstoensure theenrolmentofthegirlsinengineeringortechnicalcollegesacrossIndia. • Benefits:• • Freesyllabusbooks/materialforgirlstudentsinthe11thand12thstandard. • Virtualclassesonweekendsforgirlstudentsinthe11thand12thstandard. • Studyhelplineservicetoclarifydoubtsofstudents. • Proper monitoring and tracking of student’sprogress. • Eligibility: • GirlsstudentsshouldbeacitizenofIndiaandlivinginIndia. • Theymusthaveopt-inPhysics,Chemistry,andMathematicsstreaminClass11thand 12th.

National Scheme of Incentive to Girlsfor SecondaryEducation NationalSchemeofIncentivetoGirlsforSecondaryEducationisaschemebasedonpan India managed by the department of school education & literacy, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. It is mainly for the benefit of girls who belong to thelower classes of India. Eligibility: AllgirlswhobelongtoSC/STandgirlstudentsfromothersocialclassesareeligibleif theyhavepassedthe8thstandardexamfromKasturbaGandhiBalikaVidyalayas. Girlsavailablefortheschemeshouldbeage16yearsorless. Girlstudentswhoaremarriedorhaveenrolledinanyothercentralgovernment schemessuchasCBS,NVS,andKVSarenoteligibleforthisscheme.

  8. DhanalakshmiScheme TheDhanalakshmiSchemelaunchedinMarch2008asapilotprojectlaunchedbythe central government for providing conditional cash incentives to low-income families with girlchildren. ThestateswheretheDhanalakshmiSchemepilotprojectimplementedareasfollows:• AndhraPradesh Bihar Chhattisgarh Jharkhand Orissa Punjab UttarPradesh The project of this girl, child welfare scheme, was run in specific areas of the above states.Thesestateswereselectedbasedontheirlowerthanaveragegirlchildsexratio (ascomparedtootherpartsofIndia).
