Anesthesia Video Laryngoscope; Help Improve the Success Rate of Tracheal Intubation Anesthesia Video Laryngoscope improves visualization with laryngoscopy with a better initial success rate, and helps manage challenging intubation to improve care and reduce harm to patients. Video laryngoscopy is a relatively new technology developed to improve the success rate of tracheal intubation. The video laryngoscope is recommended for intubating difficult airways. A high-speed, high-definition micro camera attached to a tiny, handheld, digital monitor increases the viewing angle of the vocal cords for each individual patient and then improves the overall success rate of open laryngoscope surgery. This minimally invasive treatment modality is now being used to replace traditional open heart surgery. Although Anesthesia Video Laryngoscope offers increased accuracy compared to other tools, such as endoscopes and balloon catheters, there are a few drawbacks that are worth mentioning. One of these disadvantages relates to the time it takes for an individual to recover from the procedure. Video laryngoscopy requires that the person receiving the procedure relaxes enough to allow the doctor to place the tiny video camera appropriate for his/her particular situation into the nose. Once the patient has been sufficiently relaxed, it usually takes just minutes for the physician to place the light into the patient's earlobe so that the images seen through the lens can be viewed on a monitor and saved on a computer.
