  1. BLOG 4- 2MCCTV Functionality of Thermal Imaging Cameras Thermal imaging cameras are the product of a great leap in technology where CCTV cameras are considered. As the name implies, thermal imaging is an imaging system that works based on the heat generated by the objects. The technology Thermal Imaging works best in dark environments and improves visibility drastically. The camera detects the heat emitted by objects and records their movement rather than just their image. The working principle is that the cameras detect the objects’ infrared radiation and record their movement as images. Especially used in night vision cameras, the thermal imaging cameras generate heat wave based images instead of sharp pictures like regular cameras. The working Thermal imaging cameras work primarily on the basis of the infrared radiations emitted by the objects and processes them. Simply put, the infrared heat waves are received by a thoroughly non-contact device that detects the energy based on heat and then converts it into electrical signals which is in turn processed into a thermal image on a video monitor after the related temperature calculations are made. The special lens used in the cameras focuses on the infrared light emitted by all the objects in the view. The camera has a phased array of infrared detector elements. The elements then create a detailed pattern based on the temperature. This image, called a thermogram is then sent over to a receiver that processes the electrical signals and transmits the resulting image to the receiver recorder. 2M CCTV provides quality thermal imaging cameras, bullet IP cameras, PTZ cameras and wireless surveillance systems and CCTV systems.
