  2. TODAY • We are going to use our imagination to create our own parables using everyday objects • To help promote a moral message using our parables

  3. What do you think is the story behind each of these pictures?

  4. Here is a parable involving the following objects • A armchair • A book • Some cookies • An aeroplane

  5. A young lady waits for her flight A young lady waits

  6. She buys cookies

  7. She sits in an armchair

  8. A man sits beside her

  9. The Cookies

  10. when only one cookie remained, she thought: "ah... What is this abusive man going to do now?" Then, the man, taking the last cookie, divided it into half, giving her one half.

  11. Imagination task • You will now create your own parable involving three different items • You will choose your own four items to include • You parable can be any story you want but must include a moral message • The parable must be at least a page long

  12. What level are you working at? • Level 1- Your parable has a basic story line and shows you understand what a parable is • Level 2- Your parable expresses your own ideas well and has a clear message • Level 3- Your parable is imaginative and shows original ideas. It has a very clear moral message that demonstrates your knowledge of parables • Level 4/5-Your parable meets all level 3 criteria and is compared or linked to the parables of Jesus
