Comparison of Kaon Numbers in HKS Experiment Using Chromium Replay Data

This document discusses a meeting held on 3/4/2010 by T. Gogami to compare results from revisions 256 and 354 of Chromium replay in the HKS experiment. The analysis focuses on the number of kaons, β-βK comparisons, NPE measurements, cluster identification, and background assessment. Data quality in HES solid angle calculations, momentum distributions, and anticipated findings are discussed.

  1. HES HKS meeting 3/4/2010 T.Gogami

  2. Chromium replay with rev.256 and rev.354 • Compare with rev.256 and rev.354 • The number of kaon • β-βKvs. WC NPE

  3. Chromium replay with rev.256 and rev.354 • Run 77092 – 77094 (merged) K+ 3.2% K+ 2.8% We can see cluster clearly • Cut • NPE AC1+2+3 < 5 • NPE WC1+2 >20 (low momentum side) • NPE WC1+2 >80 (high momentum side) • -0.09 < β –βK< 0.2 (low momentum side) • -0.11 < β –βK < 0.2 (high momentum side) • Back ground in HKS Event num. w/ cut All event num.

  4. Chromium replay with rev.256 and rev.354 • Run 77092 – 77094 (merged) K+ 3.2% K+ 2.8% We can see cluster clearly • Cut • NPE AC1+2+3 < 5 • NPE WC1+2 >20 (low momentum side) • NPE WC1+2 >80 (high momentum side) • -0.09 < β –βK< 0.2 (low momentum side) • -0.11 < β –βK < 0.2 (high momentum side) • Back ground in HKS Data quality is better

  5. HES solid angle • θ = acos( 0.97 + (0.03 * G4UniformRnand()) ) • φ = π * G4UniformRand() 0 – 0.28 0.97 – 1.00

  6. HES solid angle Momentum X’ vs. y’ at target θ vs. φ X vs. y at EQ1 entrance

  7. HES solid angle ? Smaller than expected

  8. Summary and to do • Sum • Chromium run replay • Looks better Rev.354 than rev.256 • HES solid angle • 5 [msr] ? • To do • Cr • MM , cointime • GEANT4 • Spherical uniform distribution solid angle • Collaboration meeting • JPS • Master’s thesis • Appendix • http://lambda.phys.tohoku.ac.jp/~gogami/Mthesis/GT/gogami_Mthesis1.4.pdf
