  3. Lesson 1

  4. Lesson 2 • This lesson was Alphabet sounds. The children were to flip over a alphabet card, tell me the sound and something that starts with that letter. If we had time at the end of the lesson we played alphabet matching game.

  5. Lesson 2

  6. Lesson 3 • This next lesson was a board game. This lesson was over fluency words. My inspiration for coming up with the board game was Candy Land. The children were to read the fluency word and if they got it correct they could move to the color on the card.

  7. Lesson 3

  8. Lesson 4 • This next lesson was fluency word hangman. The children were to try to guess the word and if they got it wrong they added clothes to the hangman.

  9. Lesson 4

  10. Lesson 5 • This lesson the children did a homophone book. I found that this would be easier for children to understand what a homophone is if it showed pictures.

  11. Lesson 5

  12. Lesson 6 • This lesson we continued homophones. The children were to match up the word with the correct sentence.

  13. Lesson 6

  14. Lesson 7 • This lesson our focus was on poems. There were many poems to choose from and I went with a bio-poem. A bio-poem is about the writer and something personal.

  15. Lesson 7

  16. Lesson 8 • Our last lesson and visit to Ginnings. We got to choose a lesson of our choice. I went with a fill in the blank story. This activity reminds you of mad-libs.
