  1. Arizona Child Support When a couple goes through a divorce in Arizona, their marital issues are resolved during the divorce proceedings. But when there are children involved, it gets more complicated. Child Support Order When one parent files the Application for Child Support Services, the Department of Economic Security locates the noncustodial parent. Duration of Child Support Usually, the non-custodial parent is required to pay child support until the child reaches the age of 18. Exceptions include children who are unable to live independently due to either physical or mental disability, or children under the age of 19 and still attending high school or securing a GED.
