    7. 4/24/2012 7 HBCU/MI FY03 Goals Match HBCU/MI Research capabilities with Army requirements. Maximize Infrastructure funding to create essential research capacity . Sustainable funding through Educational Partnership and program linkage, i.e. research facilities. Many HBCU currently possess the prerequisite facilities and staff to conduct research for Army activities. The primary objective of the HBCU program is to build a stronger research base among HBCU institutions that allows them to fully participate in research and development programs. We believe that educational partnerships between Army MACOMS and RDECs will create more opportunities for HBCUs to participate in on-going research activities. Our technical assistance workshops are designed to meet their specific needs and concerns of the local HBCU institutions, We can address specific areas of interest ranging from contracting procedures to forming cooperative research and development agreements (CRADAs) Many HBCU currently possess the prerequisite facilities and staff to conduct research for Army activities.
