R&D Center Case 2 One of the world's leading pharmaceutical enterprises, covering prescription drugs, medicines and vaccines It has more than 100,000 employees in over 100 countries, and the net sales exceeded 300 billion Euros in 2011. As part of the rapid development of business in China, our client decided to set up R & D centers in China to strengthen its drug production business. Challenges Limited candidates: the R&D candidate talent pool is extremely competitive in Chinese market, and the client had very strict technical qualification requirement. Low attractive offer: low employer branding, no regular headcount; uncompetitive salary range. Lack of in-house recruitment team: only had one person to handle this recruitment project, to finish in a relatively short period of time. Insufficient talent sourcing channels and database: Positions are in 5 different cities, where client has no mature sourcing channels and accumulation of database resources.

Developed the search channels, strategy and cost plan for each type position based on in-depth analysis of client’s needs. Adopted flexible staffing solutions to manage the headcount issue, and reduced the workforce cost. Deployed, filtered, and confirmed the target candidates fast for 5 cities with our database and network. Publicized unified job description, and undertook 360-degree employer brand image promotion for our client. Reduced the gaps between the temp employees and the full-time staff, and enhanced their engagement to reduce turnover rate.
