  6. I am doing a project on Peter Benenson and Amnesty International and I can't believe how one man could change a huge thing like human rights just by reading one simple article and doing some thing about it. Angel, Windsor. Ont.

  9. This one man inspired hundreds to save thousands. His organization still stirs fear into any political body, If he hadn't read about the two people drinking to freedom I dread to think what the world would be like today and what we would be able to get away with. Alexander Pool,

  10. Although I never met Peter he has changed my life forever. Without his foresight and strong sense of justice I and millions like me would not be an advocate for human rights. The movement that grew out of that first newspaper article captured a growing sense of injustice in certain corners of the world but it needed a leader to get it off the ground.
