  2. Were They Came From . The puritans were originally from england . They were all against the beliefs of the church under King George the first .   3. Beliefs . Believed that the bible was God’s word . Bible provided a plan so that people may live there life correct before God .   4. Their Purpose . The puritans came to America to search for religious freedom. . About 21,000 of them came to Massachusetts Bay Colony and later formed the Congregational Church. .   5. Handling Problems in the community . Those who were seen as one not doing God’s work, were punish . Action forbiden were adultry, miss church, speak against the church or dotrine . Punishments were execution, wipping and some were sat in public square and were spate and laughed at

Life style • For the Puritans church attendance was mandatory,there was a fine for missing church • The Puritans believed they were doing God’s work,hence there was little room for compromise • Public beating were common, Puritans felt no remorse about administering punishment. • Contrary to myth, Puritans did have fun; there were celebrations and festivals. http://www.ushistory.org/us/3d.asp

  8. Jobs and Education • The Puritans wanted their children to learn and read the bible. • They believed each person should read the bible for themselves instead of depending on the clergy • They have jobs such as candle making,silversmithing,sewing,baking,carpeting and much more.
