Dinner Experiences | Shared Dinner Experience 1 – 10 points Palate Development Eat somewhere off of the provided list-somewhere that you have not eaten before-and write about the experience in a one-page report that includes the following information: • Name and Location of Restaurant • Sensory description of the experience • Food: Taste, Texture, Aroma, Appearance, Sound • Service: Timing, Empathy, Cleanliness • Ambiance: Temperature, Crowd, Aesthetics, Sound, Personnel • What bias and prejudice did you bring into this experience? • Were you able to set them aside? • Was it worth it?

Homework | Master Biography • Master Biographies – 10 points • Each student will prepare a biography of one of the great masters of our craft-selected by the student but approved, maybe even cajoled, by the instructor. The paper created should meet the following criteria: • One page (can be front and back, but ONLY ONE PAGE) • Name, Birthplace, Birthdate, and Picture of “Master” • A “family tree” of the person you selected – who trained them, and who did they train • A map with the locations of training, education, and work “pinned” • Reason you chose this person • “Abridged Professional Resume” • Education/Training • Workplace Experiences • Books/Articles Written • DUE: _____________________
