  3. Have this the first day of school • Common Student Dress • Backpack (Not camouflaged, red, navy or maroon) • Three ring binder with dividers • Paper, pencil, pens • Sustained Silent Reading novel • A smile and good attitude

  4. Common Student Dress • Must Be Worn on First Day of School • Black, Khaki, or Denim Pants, Shorts, or Skirt • No Red, Blue, Maroon, or Camouflage • Bernal Polo Shirt OR White, Black, or Gray Polo Shirt (New for 2010-11) • Sweatshirts/Jackets must be plain and either White, Black, or Gray • Will Receive a Community Service at lunch and Parent Phone Call if Not Worn

  5. Attendance/Tardies • 10% of the days enrolled is excessive • Out of 30 student days - no more than 3 absences or tardies • District Attorney partnership • Student Attendance Review Board (SARB)

  6. Tardies • Must be in seat when bell rings • 1st & 2nd – Teacher Consequence • 3rd – Teacher Consequence & Phone Call to Parent • 4th – Lunch Detention • 5th – After School Detention • 6th - Other Consequences: • Parent meeting • Friday School • SARB Referral

Bernal Behavior Code • Is it Respectful? • Is it Responsible? • Am I Ready to Learn? • Closed Campus • I-Pods, Cameras, & Electronic Devices are not allowed. • School is not responsible for lost or stolen items • No Writing on Backpacks • Only Out of Class if You Have a Pass • No Gum • No Felt Pens or Sharpies
