  1. My state, Italy  Italy is a peninsula that stretches out over the Mediterranean Sea. It is bordered to the north by France, Switzerland, Austria and Slovenia, it is washed by the Tyrrhenian Sea to the west by the Ionian Sea to the south, and east by the Adriatic sea. Are part of Italy also the two island: sicily and sardinia.

  2. The mountain ranges extend for most of the nation. The Alps are a mountain range located on the northern border of Italy. The highest peaks are found in the Western Alps (some are the Matterhorn, Mont Blanc and Monte Rosa.)
