EXAMPLES OF IMAGES FORMED BY PLANE MIRRORS • Draw a line to represent a mirror with hatch lines • Label various points in object with letters (A, B, C, etc.) • Draw an incident ray from point A to the mirror. The reflected ray should be on the same line as the incident ray. (angle of incidence = angle of reflection) • Extend the ray behind the mirror as a dashed line.

  7. EXAMPLES OF IMAGES FORMED BY PLANE MIRRORS • Draw another incident ray from point A at an angle to the mirror. (Use a protractor) • Draw the reflected ray at the same angle. • Extend the ray behind the mirror as a dashed line. • Do steps 1-7 for another point on the object. • Draw the image where the dashed lines meet.
