You and your family will love the vivid colors even if you do not have freezing winters! AND YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO DO ANY WORK! COLORFUL EVERGREEN BUSHES Your garden will be beautiful year-round with evergreen bushes. Choose from vivid colors and lovely shapes that require no work. You can grow bushes that are covered with flowers every spring or summer, and some bushes even have berries all winter to feed the wildlife. EVERGREEN AND MAPLE TREES Evergreen trees give a strong foundation to your garden. You can add deciduous trees that have lovely flowers every spring or summer. Or your trees can have berries during the winter to feed the birds. Flowering trees and bushes bloom every year with no work or expense! EASILY CREATE A BEAUTIFUL LITTLE GARDEN! HERE ARE A FEW OF THE MANY NATURAL WAYS LISTED IN SHADE GARDEN FLOWERS' TO KEEP PESTS OUT OF YOUR GARDEN: –Use natural products. Spray plants often, especially after it rains, with a solution of a little Dawn dish soap added to water. Add a little of these strong-smelling deterrents onto plants or put directly onto the soil: ammonia, anise, baking soda, baking powder, bay leaves, Cajun seasoning, chili powder, cinnamon, citronella, whole cloves, crushed peppers, Epsom salt, fish, catnip, garlic powder, marigolds, lemongrass, lavender, peppermint oil, tea tree oil, powdered sugar, rosemary, tobacco, or vinegar. –PyGanic Gardening is organic and broad-spectrum and targets ants, bees, fleas, flies, mites, mosquitos, roaches, and ticks. –Neem oil (also known as margosa oil from India) is an exceptional repellent for aphids, mites, grubs, and other insects with soft bodies. It is harmless to earthworms and honeybees. –If you have a problem with ants, use ant traps or mix sugar and baking soda in a small container with small holes. Ants will take it back to their homes. –Dry out citrus fruit peels and blend them with water to pour around your plants to deter aphids. –You can also spray an apple tree covered with aphids using soapy water or borax and sugar water. –To keep harmful spiders away, spray the area daily with peppermint oil and water. And place cotton balls soaked in the same solution in areas where the spiders are. You can encourage good spiders to go to your insect hotel. –Place human hair among the plants. –Plant onions, garlic, thyme, mint, rhubarb, marigolds, and other strong-smelling plants to deter pests.
