Size The Earth is 12,742 diameter, it is also 4 times bigger than the moon The Moon is 3,476 diameter
WEATHER / ATMOSPERE • The Earth has many different things of weather like rain, hail ,snow and blazing hot heat. • The moon has no atmosphere so nothing can live on it.
Landforms/craters • The Earth has mountains, hills, valleys and plains. • The Moon has no atmosphere so asteroids crash into it.
Gravity • The Earth has 6 times more gravity than the moon. • The moon has 6 times more gravity than the Earth.
Weathering and Erosion • The Earth is being changed by the weathering. • Craters are being crated by the moons lack of atmosphere.
WATER • The Earth is manly made up of water which has 70% of water on the Earth. • The Moon has a little bit of ice that is in the cracks.
Time to rotate on its axis • The Earth takes about 24 hours to rotate on its axis. • The moon takes 1 month or 4 weeks to rotate on its axis.
Time to revolve/orbit once • It takes the Earth to orbit the sun about 365.3 days. • It takes the moon to orbit the Earth about 29.5 days.
Effects on other cycles • The sun has caused all of the seasons from the tilt of Earth on its axis. • The moon gravity pools the tides.
