  2. WGISS Land Surface Imaging (LSI) Interest Group • Work with WGCV • Goal = make Cal/Val information available on LSI portal • Goal = connect WGCV portal (Cal/Val info) with LSI portal (radiometric info) per sensor • new WGCV portal: http://calvalportal.ceos.org

WGISS Land Surface Imaging (LSI) Interest Group • Appearance Suggestions • Consider redesign to better match other WGISS, CEOS, GEO partners (constellations, WGCV, FCT) • Some comments say tables are too detailed, some not enough • Design needs cosmetic upgrade (page layout, font, navigation style, and menu) • Some metadata content is not consistent • Pages should be restructured into an integrated website system • No need for big logo on front page http://wgiss.ceos.org/lsip

  7. WGISS Land Surface Imaging (LSI) Interest Group • Functionality Suggestions • Suggestion to add ability to answer questions more directly, such as what sensor is best for land surface temp? Add an FAQ and/or documentation explaining details. Question of whether the portal designed for 'beginner' or 'expert'? • Do not open new windows from links • Add metrics functionality to web site? • Study the ability to implement a one-stop portal where a single search with map support would allow users to query in parallel all the databases of data / products • Provide linkages to WGCV information on sensor characteristics and other product quality information and/or goodness of fit to particular land apps and science • Expand coverage to include additional sensors. Consider all mid-resolution (10-100m) or others • Renew contacts for each portal sensor so agency is responsible for their content • Add ability for LSI IG/ Constellation communal access for editing, uploading • Integrate CWIC • Add peer-reviewed documentation for each sensor • Comments from GEO and SIT meetings • Coordinate with other CEOS databases: MIMS, Systems Database http://wgiss.ceos.org/lsip
