  19. 5 Future ADS-B Plan Implementation • Phase 1(’14: ADS-B Demonstration) • ADS-B demonstration in the airport where ADS-B equipped aircrafts can be found (Kimpo airport) • Demonstration covers approach control service,en-route monitor & low-altitude aircraft monitor(Airspace for light aircraft area) • Phase 2(’14: ADS-B Ground surveillance) • ADS-B in airport for extending ground surveillance (Kim-hae airport) • Phase 3(’15-’16: Support En-route & Radar surveillance with ADS-B) • Radar coverage gap filling • Emergency use in case of radar system failure • Phase 4(’17-’20: En-route, Airport surveillance) • ADS-B for en-route & local airport surveillance

  20. 6 Expected Outcome • More involved with Nextgen program • - Accumulate deeper knowledge on ADS-B technology and operation technique • Enhance safety by radar coverage gap filling • - Extend surveillance coverage for low-altitude aircrafts and airport surface • Enhance air-traffic capacity by aircraft surveillanceaccuracy • - Integration of ADS-B and conventional radar system can multiply CNS/ATM efficiency
