  3. VMAS – what is it? • VMAS provides a web service to government • 3 options: • Spatial smart tags • Batch geocoding • VMAS built into applications

  4. First iteration: the Spatial Smart tag • Microsoft Smart Tag recogniser • Smart tag function recognises address ‘patterns’ • provides a “tag” of related options
