  4. Project Overview • A client/serverinteraction which: • Implemented IIS 7 • Hosted the SQL Database • Hosted the Intellitrack Client software • Used Microsoft Mobile Device Center to Sync to the MC9090G reader

  6. Problems Encountered • Various Errors while installing the batch application • Glitches with the Intellitrack General User Interface • Items either missing or are in use but can’t be found

  7. Lessons We Learned • Have more meetings with the client • Refer to help material to setup software if no quick guide/manual is available • Installing software has been trial and error

  8. Recommendations • Obtain Funding and Quotes 6 weeks in advance • Vendors and Pricing options at the same time as the Quotes • Obtain Specific types of tags for certain types of Equipment

  9. Conclusion • A learning experience and a response for the requirement of a new inventory system to be put into use for MD213 • Proper purchasing methods for vendors were found • Professional method of carrying out a project was discovered • Support for software was not always available • Required experimentation to make the software work
