The Witches

2. Exposition Characters: Grandmamma, Grandson, Bruno Jenkins, Sally(mouse), William(mouse), Ms. Jenkins & Mr. Jenkins, Witches, and the grand high Witch. Grandmamma: She raises her grandson and tells him about witches. Grandson: He has a friend name Bruno. Sally and William: The grandson’s pet mice. Ms. & Mr. Jenkins: They are Bruno’s parents. Bruno: Is a kid who likes to eat a lot. Witches: The are mean, cruel people

3. Exposition (2) Time: Summer Place: Norway and England Conflict: The mom and dad die and the boy has to be raised by his grandmamma . His life is different now.

4. Rising action Grandmamma gets pneumonia and they can’t go to Norway .In stead they when to a hotel still in England. Before they left to go to the hotel, grandmamma got pet mice for her grandson. He named his pet mice Sally and William. He taught Sally and William tricks. The hotel manager got mad at him for having mice in the hotel without a cage. Grandson wanted to teach Sally and William more tricks so he found a place where he thought nobody would be. The place was a theater. Ladies that were dressed very nicely started to come into the theater. Grandson was hiding behind the curtains. The ladies started taking off their wigs and gloves and shoes. Grandson figured out they were witches. The were scary looking.

5. Climax The kid in the hotel named Bruno who likes to he wanted a chocolate bar from the ladies who were actually witches. The witches had poisoned chocolate and gave them to Bruno which turned him into a mouse. The witches then took a potion and threw it at grandson and turned him into a mouse also.

6. Falling Action Grandmamma is upset but loves grandson even thought he is a mouse. Grandmamma still thinks of him as her loving grandson. Bruno’s parents don’t think it is Bruno and won’t believe grandmamma that a cruel lady turned the boys into mice. Grandmamma was mad at the witches and wanted them all gone so she thought of a plan with her grandson and Bruno to get back at the witches. She was very angry at the mean witches. She helped the boys think of a plan. The boys who were now mice planned to sneak into the grand high witches room and steal the potion. It took some work but they did it! They were able to get the potion from the grand high witch. Now they had to decide what to do next.

7. Resolution The boys which were mice and grandmamma went into the dining room because they knew the witches were going to be there for dinner at night. Grandson got into the kitchen where the cooks were preparing the meals for the witches. Bruno was still eating and sitting in grandmamma’s purse. Grandson poured the potion into all of the witches meals. The witches ate meals and starting feeling funny. Poof! They all turned into mice. Grandmamma and grandson were so happy. They said all the witches in England were gone. They started making more plans. They planned to find all the witches in different countries and turn them into mice too. Grandmamma was pleased and happy. She still loved her grandson even though he is was a mouse. She made all little mouse furniture for him. They didn’t let anybody in their house . They were happy living together! Bruno parents finally believed grandmamma and went home with his parents.
