READ: ISAIAH 20:1-2 THE SIGN AGAINST EGYPT AND ETHIOPIA 1 In the year that Tartan came to Ashdod, when Sargon the king of Assyria sent him, and he fought against Ashdod and took it, 2 At the same time the LORD spoke by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, "Go, and remove the sackcloth from your body, and take your sandals off your feet." And he did so, walking naked and barefoot.

The Spirit of God was upon him and he went on and prophesied until he came to Naioth in Ramah. 24 He stripped off his clothes and prophesied before Samuel in like manner, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Therefore they say, “Is Saul also among the prophets?” NKJV WHAT DID KING SAUL TAKE OFF? WAS KING SAUL NAKED?

You shall not come down from the bed to which you have gone up, but you shall surely die.’” 7 Ahaziah said to them, “What kind of man was it who came up to meet you and told you these words?” 8 They answered him, “A hairy man wearing a leather belt around his waist.” And he said, “It is Elijah the Tishbite.” NKJV HOW WAS ELIJAH DRESSED?

HOW LONG DID ISAIAH WALK NAKED AND BAREFOOT? THREE YEARS? WHAT SIGN WOULD THIS BE TO EGYPT AND ETHIOPIA? WHO WOULD LEAD THEM AWAY AS CAPTIVES? KING OF ASSYRIA? HOW WOULD EGYPT AND ETHIOPIA BARE THEIR SHAME?

HOW WOULD EGYPT AND ETHIOPIA BARE THEIR SHAME? WHAT DID ISAIAH PROPHESY AGAINST BABYLON? READ: ISAIAH 47:2-3 2 Take the millstones and grind meal. Remove your veil, Take off the skirt, Uncover the thigh, Pass through the rivers. 3 Your nakedness shall be uncovered, Yes, your shame will be seen. I will take vengeance And I will not arbitrate with a man. NKJV

NKJV READ: JEREMIAH 13:25-26 25 This is your lot, The portion of your measures from Me, says the LORD, Because you have forgotten Me And trusted in falsehood. 26 Therefore I will uncover your skirts over your face That your shame may appear. I will show the nations your nakedness And the kingdoms your shame.” 6 “I will cast abominable filth upon you, Make you vile, And make you a spectacle.” NKJV

WHO SHALL BE ASHAMED? JUDAH? WHY SHOULD JUDAH BE ASHAMED? READ: 2 KINGS 18:20-23 21 Look! You are trusting in the staff of this broken reed, Egypt, on which if a man leans, it will go into his hand and pierce it. So is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all who trust in him. 22 But if you say to me, “We trust in the LORD our God,” Is it not He whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah has taken away, and said to Judah and Jerusalem, “You shall worship before this altar in Jerusalem?” NKJV

READ: EZEKIEL 29:13-16 13 Thus says the Lord GOD: “At the end of forty years I will gather the Egyptians from the peoples among whom they were scattered.” 14 “I will bring back the captives of Egypt and cause them to return to the land of Pathros, to the land of their origin, and there they shall be a lowly kingdom.” 15 “It shall be the lowliest of kingdoms; it shall never again exalt itself above the nations, for I will diminish them so that they will not rule over the nations anymore.” 16 “No longer shall it be the confidence of the house of Israel, but will remind them of their iniquity when they turned to follow them. Then they shall know that I am the Lord GOD.” NKJV

Because of the multitude of your iniquities, Because your sins have increased, I have done these things to you. 16 All those who devour you shall be devoured. And all your adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity. Those who plunder you shall become plunder And all who prey upon you I will make a prey. NKJV

WHAT WILL THEY SAY? HOW SHALL WE ESCAPE? READ: MATTHEW 23:33-35 33 Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell? 34 Indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes. Some of them you will kill and crucify and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city, 35 That on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. READ: 1 THESSALONIANS 5:1-6 1 Concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. 2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 3 When they say, Peace and safety! Then sudden destruction comes upon them, As labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. 4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. 5 You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. NKJV

READ: HEBREWS 2:1-4 1 We must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away. 2 For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward, 3 How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him, 4 God also bearing witness both with signsand wonders, with various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will? NKJV
