  1. Finding Affordable Healthcare Options When you pay for a standard gym membership, it’s typically a low monthly fee that gives you unlimited access to all of the equipment. Low cost and unrestricted access for gym time is an affordable and convenient way to take care of yourself. When you pay for health insurance, it’s a high monthly fee with deductibles, limited visits, and partial coverage; not as great of a deal. Direct primary care is a healthcare option that works more like a gym membership than health insurance. Below are three reasons that make direct primary care an affordable and convenient healthcare option. 1. Low monthly fees: The average monthly cost for health insurance covering one adult is over $470. With direct primary care, monthly expenses for a single adult under age 40 are as low as $50 and kids, just $10. That means a family with two parents could have thirty-seven children before their direct primary care cost equaled the national average for monthly health insurance costs of one person. 2. No Deductibles It was just stated that health insurance costs $470 a month; what wasn’t mentioned was deductibles. Traditional health insurance covers routine services like physical exams or dental cleanings. When a person needs more than those basic services, they have to pay a deductible. In essence, deductibles require a person to pay the first several thousand dollars in medical costs for additional services before their insurer covers them. With direct primary care, there are no deductibles. The only fees paid are monthly, and they cover primary care, minor surgeries, and more. 3. Unlimited access to doctors It would be nice if families never needed to see a doctor; unfortunately, that’s not the case. Most families end up needing to see their doctor several times a year. As discussed above, anything not covered in a monthly health insurance fee (like more

  2. than a few appointments) is paid for out of pocket until the deductible is met. Direct primary care gives families unlimited access to their doctors at no extra charge. Direct primary care has its limitations as all things do, but for families looking to save on the costs of caring for their members, it’s an excellent solution. Direct care is a simple and affordable healthcare option that gives families convenient access to the healthcare services that they need. Interested?
