  • Bursary process in place since November 2005
  • Automated bursary system since July 2006
  • System provides access via a web portal
  • Bursaries provided according to needs defined in the INSETA SSP

Bursary process
  • Bursary application procedure is as follows:
    • Training provider registers the employers learners
    • Training provider gets approval once accreditation confirmed by INSETA
    • Training provider submitting of bursary application
    • Verification process, using bursary policy rules
    • INSETA approves bursaries
    • Automated electronic provider notification
    • Provider submits invoice and supporting documentation
    • INSETA conducts payment – according to PFMA and internal policies
