  1. INTRA Intra aims to contribute with an optimisation of an intermodal logistic chain and to consider all the actors involved in the chain. One assumption for an optimised flow of cargo is an optimised flow of information. By having the information available at an earlier stage than present it is possible to do a better planning of a transport. Thereby a higher degree of utilisation of the load units and the transport means. Messages Standardisation Architecture

  2. Goals - INTRA One of the goals with Intra is to standardise information used in a logistic chain. Logistic is an international matter and therefore it is important to build alliances with projects and initiatives outside the boards of Norway. The Intra project have a close co-operation with the EU-project IP.

  9. Visions to exploite the results of previous projects to facilitate the exchange of administrative information by harmonising and standardising the procedures by doing this the information transmission within the logistics chain can go smoother.

  10. Expectations to achieve standardised interfaces between the existing systems and the IP demonstrators to implement new standards in real life such as XML to come up with real benefits for the maritime transport actors

  12. ShipLog ShipLog 80% of the information needed with our customers is initiated onboard ships One ambition is to optimise the part of the supplychain to deliver superior services to all actors involved in a supply chain

  13. ShipLog The tools that will be developed in the ShipLog project must be supported by …. Adoption Focus Reaction ability … to establish a relationship that is preferred over others Set up a win - win envirnment Modular scalable systems Manage what matters Eliminate fixed costs …Find a niche where you can take a number one position Go for unique proactive solutions Changeflexibility Use standards Support standards Penetrate Logistics flow Supplier Customer

  14. ShipLog ShipLog • Exchange of messages, reporting and information exchange • Number of registrations down to 1 • Store information into one location • Needed information must be reachable without delays • If you not are among the leaders in yours field it will be hard to exist • Better service to the actors involved in a chain
