Setting Characters The setting was at the park and at Megan’s house. The setting reminded me of my life because I live right across the street from a park. • Alan • Megan • James • Lee • Paco • I did not like James because he is a bully.
Alan Alan likes bugs. He got picked on because of that. He was the new kid. He was friendly, kind, smart. He was nice when he met Megan. He moved right next door to Megan. Alan has blond hair, brown eyes, and big ears. He got upset when he got picked on.
Author’s Message • Alan was being teased by Megan’s friends. Then one day Alan fought James and pushed him in an ant mound. James walked away. Megan learned to not be friends with a bully. Alan learned to stand up for yourself. I learned the same thing they did.
