Welcome from Madame Becerra: Embracing French Language Learning

Hello, parents! My name is Mrs. Becerra-Seay, but I prefer "Madame Becerra." I moved to Atlanta from Laredo, Spain, in 2000 and have been teaching at South Cobb since 2006. My goal is to immerse students in French and highlight the importance of learning a foreign language. I encourage patience and participation in class to create a respectful environment. I'm excited to engage with my new students this semester and appreciate any support from you. Feel free to reach out via email anytime. Au revoir!

  1. Le Journal français le 10 août 2009 Salut, mes parents! My name is Mrs. Becerra-Seay, though I would like students to call me “Madame Becerra”. I came to Atlanta from Laredo, northern Espagne (Spain) in 2000, and I have been teaching at South Cobb since 2006. From the beginning, I have participated and volunteered for numerous school events and duties. So, this has made it easier for students to recognize me, and get to know me outside the classroom. I have made it a main goal to use French as much as possible while instructing. And now, I am reaching out for your help to remind students of the importance of learning a foreign language. They need to be patient, and do not need to understand every word. However, it is crucial that they get ready for French, physically as well as mentally, even before class starts. Students need to be respectful, pay attention, participate, and follow procedures. I am looking forward to working with my new students this semester!! I will kindly appreciate any support you may be able to give. Please, do not hesitate to contact me via e-mail any time. Au revoir! Student’s signature Parent’s signature
