Introduction Mission Statement • Make sure that the state of the control room (Hardware, Software and Documentation) allows efficient data taking, data quality control and subsequent data analysis Composition • Group leader (J.S. Graulich) • Point of contact for the MOM and the shifters for Online issues • Point of contact for the detector to include their data in the Online data stream and in Control and Monitoring System • DAQ (J.S. Graulich) • Control and Monitoring (James Leaver and Pierrick Hanlet) • Online Reconstruction (Linda Coney) • Control Room Management (Craig McWaters) Jean-Sébastien Graulich

Priority tasks (Re)Organize network in MLCR Target DAQ (Target Position and Beam Loss Monitors) into Data Stream EPICS Archive and Alarm Handler for magnet currents Online Reconstruction Farm: Hardware/software Installation DAQ / EPICS interface Unified User Interface for Control and Monitoring Write Use Cases for the Control and Monitoring system Interface DAQ/Configuration Database/Online Reconstruction Data Transfer to Permanent Storage Jean-Sébastien Graulich

Progress so far Target DAQ • James Leaver provided the I/O library allowing sustainable compatibility between the stand alone target DAQ and the DATE DAQ • Pierrick Hanlet provided the EPICS application allowing display of the target data in the EPICS framework • JSG is implementing the DATE readout code Jean-Sébastien Graulich

  6. Progress so far (2) Integrated GUI • James Leaver proposed the installation of an EPICS Client Server where all the Control and Monitoring applications will be installed and run from a unique interface • This server will also host the archive • The server has been ordered • Pierrick Hanlet has started working on the Graphical Interface Jean-Sébastien Graulich

  7. Progress so far (3) Control Room • Craig McWaters has proposed to upgrade the connection distribution service in Control Room (main power plugs and network sockets) • He also started the survey on the network installation Jean-Sébastien Graulich
